Creating your Weekly Schedule

Setting time aside to write is an important step in positive growth. You need a plan for the week for how you are going to get new content up for the blog. People gravitate to blogs that are updated frequently. When you don't set a schedule for yourself to post, people will give up on trying to guess when they can get new information. Having a schedule for when your posts come out will be beneficial because readers know when to get on for new content and not be dissatisfied.

Like many of us, he weekdays are busy and your already thinking how I can stay consistent. An alternative can be writing your posts early. When you have time like on the weekends, take advantage of that and write two or more posts. You can simply publish the post on the day you wanted it for. Many blogging programs make it even easier by letting you set the day you want the article to publish then click publish. They do the rest.

Unless you are going to hire someone or compile a large amount of posts before a vacation, it would be a good idea to tell your readers. If they know that the infrequent posting is only for a short period of time, it will keep many people from leaving your site. Provide in a single post what date you are coming back, when to expect new posts, and where you are going. Telling them where you are going helps you connect with your audience. You might also want to consider writing a special post about your experiences on the trip when you get back. It may be off topic from your blog topic but the occasional variety will be appreciated from your readers.

No one is going to be able to write constantly every week so you just need to know how to do deal with it. Telling your readers nothing leads them to think that you have stopped and will lead to a decline in site revenue and viewers. Be open to your audience and tell them truthfully why you can't write ahead of time and you will do fine.
